Can I give my cats a bath in ajax dish soap?
I am on a VERY tight budget right now advantage and all that stuff are not options. My cats have fleas. I was wondering if it's safe to go ahead and use ajax dish soap?
If ajax isn't good then I have some regular dish soap too?
So basically I have sergeant's skip flea and tick remover for cats and the dish soap. I think it's better if I use the dish soap rather than the flea shampoo from walmart right?
Ajax was harsh to me, and I doubt kitty would fair any differently. You can use a dish soap, however, and that's Dawn. It's the gentlest on cats, and penguins approve of it as well (Though I doubt your cat will be involved in an oil spill). I don't suggest anti-bacterial Dawn, however, but the regular stuff, or the stuff for smooth hands (I use this stuff, and it hasn't had any adverse effects on my kittens yet). Just make sure you watch kitty, and rinse her thoroughly.
Fill your tub or sink with slightly warm water, lather kitty's neck first (Before you put her in, so the fleas can't make a break for it), fill the tub or sink with about four inches of water for a kitten (More for bigger cats, they don't need to be more than chest high in water), insert kitty (Slowly and gently), use more soap and lather kitty's fur, let her soak for eight to ten minutes, rinse kitty (Using the faucet is easiest), towel dry. Tada, clean kitty.
This method will take about a week, give or take, and you'll be bathing them every other day. If you have furniture, then you might have to wash the seat covers, blankets and whatnot in hot water. Fleas don't really live on the cat, but only go to her when the brood needs food. My cats have fluffy coats, no balding areas, and are very active. I haven't had a problem with Dawn, yet. 
I only suggest Dawn.

By the way, if you have White Vinegar, you can make a 50% Vinegar and 50% water solution to spray on your furniture and carpets. It does repel fleas, as does Avon's Skin So Soft, just don't spray kitty with it.
