dark circles/Tired lines..?
So i went to vegas and got practically no sleep. My last day there i developed dark circles under my eyes and some sleep lines (wrinkles). I'm 27. My complexion is extremely even and I've never have had any problems like this before. I researched it and it said it could be related to stress and lack of sleep. I cna't lie ive been extremely stressed hence why i went to vegas. I checked in with the dermatologist and they said they cna do nothing about the circles. the circles are starting to decrease but the lines are prominent. i've seen things by reviva and they worked...but im scared im doing more damage. I have no idea what to do.
i've tried miscellaneous creams, lotions, and eye stuff...even derma wand..lol...yes even derma wand...i went to vegas in december.

A lot of hype is building around Derma Rollers and its effect on the skin, so in hopes of shedding some light on the matter, I will write a bit about this as I did some research a while ago, because my girlfriend just went crazy over this, and found out more about this treatment and the wonders it can do to correct skin imperfections.
What is a Derma Roller?
The Derma Roller is nothing more than an instrument to perform a relatively new line of treatment called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT); the tool itself looks like a medieval torture device, a small cylinder with micro needles that is developed to pierce the most superficial layer of skin (any more than that and it would be painful).
How does it Work?
Well first of all, like I said previously, this is a Collagen Induction Therapy, in other words, the derma roller is used to promote the growth of collagen in the skin. It does this by piercing the skin with the small micro-needles in the roller, they are small enough so you just feel a tickle but deep enough to trigger the nerve endings that tell the skin to produce collagen, now if you multiply this by the number of needles in the derma roller you will eventually create a new layer of collagen all over the skin. This new layer will then thicken your skin, and removing/ diminishing all the imperfections it had.
Is this safe?
It all depends on the needle size, this same treatment is performed in clinics, but they use needles above 1.5mm, which is the limit baseline for professional use. For home usage you can use any size you like as long as it is above or equal to 1.5mm, but as a personal note I would advise you to choose the smallest possible needle (0.5 or less) for starters, and then work your way up if you fell the need to. Clinical sized needles require some numbing of the skin, otherwise if would hurt a bit, as expected the larger the needle the better the results, and that is why clinics use the bigger ones, but you can still see great results at home with your smaller safer needle if you carry on the treatment as specified, it will just take longer.
Will this work for my problem?
In general if you have a skin imperfection, derma roller will help, this includes stretch marks, acne scars, ice picks, burns, age wrinkles, cellulite and so on. One thing you need to have in mind is that this is not just about collagen induction, the derma roller will also act as a catalyst to any cream you put on the treated area, increasing the absorption rate up to 2000x (not a typo really), that is why this can also be used to treat hair loss, and receding hair lines. If you are applying this on the skin, do not forget to use a good vitamin cream afterward, as this is the base for most expensive creams, and is really all that your skin needs to perform, as for the scalp and regarding hair loss, use minoxidil even if you have already tried it with few results (remember the new absorption rates).
Final Toughs
So there you have it, this is what the Derma Roller is all about, if you are hesitant just go with the smallest possible needle to give it a go, as this is really very inexpensive and yields good results, and all it takes is a little bit of time. Make sure you choose an FDA approved and gamma sterilized product and you should be fine.
