There have probably been a thousand books written as to why we have acne. They all try to address the usual questions like, where does it come from and how do I get rid of it! When it comes to treatments, which ones truly work and which ones are truly rubbish?

For most people, treating acne has meant only one thing, medication. It's the only main approach that medical science has really taken. Treatment by medications and drugs is the norm but is it possible to treat acne in a really natural way?

You will find a great deal of research material that will state that because of the many varied causes of acne, the natural approach does not produce very good results. I find that contrary to my research that indicates a very high success rate among those who follow the plans using natural products.

There are many different factors that are associated with acne outbreaks and it must be stated that before changing any type of treatment plan that you should discuss your plans with a physician or dermatologist. The root cause should be determined before starting any type of treatment but there has been great progress in natural medicine to treat your acne.

Of course, finding out which natural products will be most effective in your fight against acne you must also be willing to commit yourself to a plan of action and follow through with that plan.

It really is not different than taking powerful antibiotics or other medication prescribed by your doctor. You must have a plan of action and follow it precisely or successful treatment of your acne will not happen.

It is important to remember that acne can only be controlled. There is no cure. So if deciding upon a natural medication approach, you may find yourself surprised at what the more advanced natural approach will do for you in controlling your acne.

Oily skin, blocked pores, swelling, inflammation and pain are all signs and symptoms of an acne outbreak. These can be treated very effectively and safely with all natural products.

You must also consider your diet. There may be foods involved that are not necessarily a root cause of your acne but may be having peripheral or underlying effects which magnify your acne symptoms. More often than not, acne is caused by a variety of different issues.

Environment can also play an important role. Exposure to different elements in our surroundings as well as stress can have an effect on acne as well. By knowing how to deal with these factors in conjunction with an all herbal approach can have a dramatic effect on the outcome.

There have been many books and products sold over the most recent years making claims of all sorts on curing your acne forever in 5 minutes. The truth is as I stated earlier that acne cannot be cured. That is just the facts and no product whether chemical or natural can treat it effectively in 5 minutes or even 24 to 48 hours.

I have received many reports from different individuals stating that they are seeing rather significant results with 72 hours. It is important to be clear though that they are not acne free at this point but the result they are experiencing are dramatic. When followed as directed, the natural programs these folks are using are producing result with in a week or two that rival even the most power chemical treatments they had been prescribed before.

If your treatment plan is not working and you find yourself struggling with treating your acne then I would strongly suggest doing a little investigation into what kind of natural acne treatment plans are out there. Although many people pass off the idea that natural treatment is not effective, a great number of those who have tried it are finding great success.

As with any treatment plan, especially those who are under the care of a physician and are taking prescription medications, always contact your doctors and discuss the possibility of tying a natural approach. Never, ever discontinue medications without the approval of your doctor. This cannot be stated enough. It is very important that if you consider fighting your acne on a more natural level that your physician advise you on how to make the switch easily and effectively.
