Wrinkle Creams: The Next Botox

You wake up at 6am to get ready for work, stumble to the sink, splash water on your face, look in the mirror and...try to figure out which one is the Grand Canyon and which are just the cracks. It has happened, is happening, or will happen to each of us- getting old. It starts with realizing weare saying the same things as our parents, it ends when we look in the mirror and see our parents. No matter how weave tried to avoid it, age has slipped up on us and now itas war. Science is lending a hand researching why and how we age and what can best be done to slow it down, stop it, or hide it. We see these results in the cosmetic aisle at the store; brand after brand of makeup looking for the better mix of materials in order to give us all back the appearance of 5-20 years.

It has to be looked at with some skepticism however. These companies that produce anti wrinkle cream are in it to make a buck. They will try to pass off any sort of new product, from a newly discovered plant in an Amazon to animal fat, to say that their products do work.

The cosmetic industry is a huge business, and these companies want to see a return on their investment. They invest millions of dollars into these anti wrinkle creams trying to get one that is better than their competitors. Over the course of the past two decades, the creams have become sounder scientifically as they discover the exact process for aging.

The original wrinkle creams were designed to cover the wrinkles and hide them by filling in the cracks with a thick, goopey material. While it hid the evidence of age initially it couldnat stand up to a full dayas work and eventually those wrinkles started to shine through. New science has allowed us to improve our filling material and let us discover plumping agents and muscle freezing agents to increase the products effectiveness.

By using a plumping agent to moisturize from within the pores the wrinkles become shallower. These smaller wrinkles and moisturized skin allow the filling agents to work better, look smoother, and hold position better than they ever did before, and new research is only improving it.

The freezers work by immobilizing the muscles under the face to lessen the progression of wrinkling. Rather than doing this over your entire face it is done to combat our trouble spots like crows feet, the forehead, and around the mouth. These processes together help make traditional makeup more effective by reducing the amount of wrinkling so makeup can be smoother on the skin.

The combinations of plumpers, freezers, and fillers can be utilized differently to have different results. These help make traditional makeup much more effective in the war on age. As the science increases we find it possible to use creams and makeups as opposed to plastic surgery- a much better alternative.

In the end the wrinkle creams work. As each person's body is different, various combinations of makeup can be used for different results. Look at what is available and what special needs your own face has and get out there to find a cream that is just right for you
